Moebius Workshop: repeat date, 20 April 2013
Tuesday 15th May 2012
The magical moebius casts its spell over me (still) and I am happy to report that its magic seems to have infected some of you, for the new moebius workshop in January 2013 is now full. Because I also had a waiting list or expressions of interest, I have now arranged with Millington that we will do this all again (let’s
twist again! lol – see moebiuses have twists in them – oh never mind). This will be on 20 April 2013.
There are 4 places left at the moment and you can book that
here.
I’m currently knitting a new moebius in Cocoon and KSH. It grows at an almost alarming rate. However, I have also just taken delivery of a luscious new Rowan yarn, a DK – a fairly fine DK it seems to me though it says 4mm so there we are – which is a blend of merino and silk. It is so beautiful, really yummy. I have enough in 2 shades to knit another moebius, plus a shrug for the other shade.
So far, I have experimented with garter stitch plus frilly edges. I am now experimenting with garter stitch, plus frilly edges, plus dropping/adding yarns. I have also swatched with reversible simple lace. This does not work with KSH so well, due to the haze. However (rubs thighs and gurns) I think it will be
excellent in the new wool silk DK…
Sounds lovely – can’t wait!! xxx
Merino AND silk…? WANT!
Millster: it’s soooo gorgeous, I think rather a fine DK (as in 3.75, tho they say 4, not oh, this yarn is mighty FLY…)and it’s not, sadly got that rove of shade in Tapestry – a mighty chunky DK if ever there was one, but it’s quite a flat shade either – it’s got a hint of cream in the twist.
