Drift Mitts

From my book, Elements, these mitts have a deep, folded cuff at the beginning and the end, and then a ribbed hand with lace-edged thumb detail.  They are also beaded.

I rate these as moderate – complex.

Yarn, needles, etc

• Rowan Baby Merino Silk DK 50g (1 ¾oz)/135m (147yds) or other DK yarn with similar or 100% wool content and length. I used Dawn 672 2 x 50g
• Set of 3mm (UK 11/US 2-3) DPNs or size required to achieve correct tension. Or you can knit them Magic Loop or on 2 short circular needles if you prefer.
• 3 stitch markersLarge safety pin
• 168 crystal beads, size 6
