Lily Throncho

A Throncho is knitted as a wrap and then partially seamed.  It is worn as a flattering hybrid of a throw and a poncho.

This Throncho is knitted in 4 ply yarn. I used Rowan Finest which is a cashmere blend, but you could use any 4 ply.  I suggest a high animal fibre content.  

The pattern is moderately simple lace and it is beaded.  You can use size 6 (larger) or size 8 beads.  But it is beaded all-over so because of the weight I recommend size 8. 

I rate this as moderate.

Yarns, needles, etc

Yarn
Rowan Finest 13 X 25g balls (or c1,200m of any 4 ply yarn). I used Rapture, sh no 068.
Needles
3.25mm needles. Due to the number of stitches and weight of the work I used an 80cm long fixed cable circular needle.
A single 2.75mm needle for the cast off only.
Other
Approx 2,000 beads, size 8 (small) or 6 (larger). I used crystal.
Finished Size
41cm by 164cm before washing/blocking.
42cm by 177cm after washing/blocking.
