Here are the Ts & Cs:

  • The fee is payable at the time of booking.  You can pay via Pay Pal which is secure, fast and easy.  If you do not use Pay Pal, please contact me as I will be able to send you an invoice for payment by BACS or cheque.  I also need to be told about any food issues or other details that you think I might need to know, please.  See last point below for fuller details.
  • If you have to cancel your place I will refund your fee in full if I am able to re-sell the place.  Please let me know as soon as you think you may not be able to attend as I often have a waiting list and so a full refund for you is very likely, the longer I have to try and re-sell.
  • In the event of bad weather I will still run the workshop.
  • If I have to cancel the event I will refund your fee in full or you can transfer to another event if there are spaces – it’s your choice.  I am sorry that I cannot be liable for any costs you may have incurred. I reserve the right to cancel any event for reasons of illness, low numbers or another eventuality beyond my control.
  • I usually take 7 or 8 bookings.  However, 5 people is my minimum number and if I do not get to that number, I will not run the event. If that is the case I will always try to give you 4 weeks notice.
  • Swaps:  I am usually happy to swap you to another course.  For example if I have a course that is full and I arrange another date – if I can swap you to the new date I will, if you ask me.  But sometimes swapping may make one date non-viable or the date you are giving up may be so close that I think I will not be able to fill it, and then I will not swap the place.  You are welcome to swap your place with a friend but if you do find a substitute, this transaction is between you and them, and not between them and me; I need to know who the new person is and their email address, please.  Finally I will not be able to accommodate swaps for residential events but will always try to fill your space, or let you find a replacement.
  • Some courses offer a choice of project options, others only one, some are not project based.  The details will specify.
  • The fee includes:  full tuition, practice yarns, beads etc if needed;  the pattern or patterns on the day;  a cotton re-usable workshop bag;  all refreshments and lunch.  The yarns and beads etc for the project we are making are usually NOT included.  I will tell you in good time what to bring.  Failing that, I have yarns and beads that you can buy from me on the day for projects I teach.  I am not a yarn shop, so the choices are limited to what I like.  All yarns bought from me for workshops have a loyalty discount of about 10% off RRP.  Needles, notions etc, are not included.  You need to bring your own and I will let you know what they will be.
  • The food is almost all home-made.  I need to know about food items that you are allergic to.  Please tell me about these at the time of booking. This is not to be confused with food items you dislike.  I do not need to know about these and if one of them crops up, you can simply leave it. Please tell me about foods that you know make you unwell, such as triggering an allergic reaction.  Then I will make a decision about whether I think you and I can manage this risk adequately. If I think I can’t, I will issue you with a refund.
